Roster Icons

Create a new shift: Select this button to begin shift creation.
Identifier for a group shift (Multiple staff/clients assigned): With recent setups all shifts will be setup as group shifts.
Published Shift: This indicates the shift has been created and published so the staff member working the shift will now see this shift.
Unpublished Shift: This indicates that the shift is only visible to rostering teams as this has yet to be published to the staff member working.
First repeated Shift : This indicates the first shift of a repeating series.
Repeated Off shift: This indicates that the shift is different from the original repeated shift.
Repeated Shift: This indicates that this shift is a part of an already existing repeated series.
Awake Shift: This indicates that the shift despite being overnight is *Active* meaning the support staff are expected to be awake for the full duration.
Overnight Shift : This indicates that there is a sleepover present on the shift and will entail a shift starting on one day and proceeding to the next.
Assigned Trip Kilometers: This indicates there is expected travel for the staff on shift which has already been determined in the “Travel” section of shift creation.
Travel Item Billable Missing: This indicates that there is travel assigned and that there is a billing item missing for said travel record.
Free Shift: This indicates that the shift is “Free” meaning it will not overlap and conflict with other shifts rostered at the same time.

An example of this is if a staff member is on call for the full day this can be captured via a 9-5 “Free” shift. This then allows other shifts to be created during this 9-5 span without conflict.
Cost Edited: This indicates that a cost override is in place meaning that the staff member on shift is being paid at an alternate pay rate to their regular pay rate.
Manually Approved Shift: this indicates that the shift in question has been manually approved by a rostering administrator.
Auto Approved Shift: This indicates that the shift has been automatically completed by the system due to a timesheet being present and approved for the shift in question.
Cancelled Shift: This indicates that a shift has been cancelled by a rostering staff member due to either client, staff or organisational requirements.

(Note: The default colour is orange however your system is capable of having another colour for this.)
Shift Error Found: This indicates that the shift in question has identified an error. For further clarification open the shift in question and select the warning icon at the upper right for more detail specific to the shift.
Staff Member is assigned to a shift already
Staff is Available to be rostered

(Note: If you hover your mouse / cursor over the icon it will provide further information around the unavailability in place.)

No Shift notes: This indicates that the system has no shift notes attached to that particular shift.
